Civil Litigation, Trademark, Estate Planning, Divorce, and General Practice

Practicing law for 42 years, I have a very strong background in civil litigation, especially trademark, breach of contract, and complex business disputes, including construction contract and unfair and deceptive business practice litigation, . Having spent most of my legal career at large corporate law firms, I offer big firm expertise at small firm rates to businesses, individuals and families throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Contact me to arrange a free consultation.

An experienced lawyer, I have handled cases involving a variety of legal issues from construction contracts to trademark infringement to divorce to trust disputes. For my corporate and individual clients, my areas of practice center on:

  • Trademark and copyright: I have concentrated experience as a trademark attorney, both in obtaining trademark registration from the United States Patent & Trademark Office, trademark infringement litigation, and copyright applications to the U.S. Copyright Office.
  • Civil litigation: Drawing on three decades of experience as a litigation attorney for Mobil Oil, DLA Piper and Mirick, O'Connell, DeMallie & Lougee, I am able to provide clients with high-quality but cost-effective representation in a wide range of litigation matters, including trademark infringement, real estate disputes, unfair and deceptive trade practices (Chapter 93A), and breach of contract cases. I also specialize in representing clients who need an attorney for an uncontested divorce, or modification of alimony and/or child support.
  • Business law: I provide businesses with a wide range of corporate legal services. I advise clients who need legal representation for incorporating their business, obtaining a trademark from the United States Patent & Trademark Office, setting up a nonprofit organization and obtaining 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service, contract drafting and negotiations, drafting and reviewing leases and asset purchase and sale agreements and handling trademark matters.
  • Estate planning: As an estate-planning attorney, I help married couples and individuals plan for orderly distribution of their estates through a last will and testament and the use of a revocable trust. Clients rely on me to provide personalized services in an effort to customize an estate plan. I listen to my clients' needs, concerns and objectives as we prepare wills, trusts and utilize other basic estate planning tools.
